Weather reports last week suggested that it would be better to move Sports Day from Thursday to Wednesday 10th.June. It turned out to be a good day weather-wise and a number of our students really excelled in the conditions.

Jaime Woulahan's jump of 3.12m earned her Gold in Year 8 Long Jump
In Year 8 the titles were well spread with only Gabriel Leech (100m and 200m) and Beth McAuley (100m and 400m) doubling up with two golds each. Gabriel broke the school record for the 100m with a super time of 12.52 seconds.

In Year 9, Gabriel’s brother Fintan collected two goals (100m and High Jump) as did Ethan Glenn (200m and 400m) and Conor McRandal (800m and 1500m). Hannah McCann (200m and 400m) also collected two golds in Year 9, and set a new school record in the 200m with a time of 29.14 seconds.
