Larne Borough Council recognise St Killian’s College Camogie Team

Between winning the Ulster Under 16 Grade C camogie title at the


first attempt in 2007 and 2011, St Killian’s College managed to win just 4 matches in Grade B. However from the start of last year they lifted the Ulster B title for the first time, narrowly lost an All-Ireland semi-final and then shocked everyone by defeating top-seeds St Patrick’s Maghera to qualify for the Ulster A final for the first time ever. St Killian’s Standard Inspection Report November 2012

In the college’s recent inspection the overall findings were that the educational and pastoral provision are very good with aspects that were outstanding such as Mathematics, Pastoral Care, Leadership and Management. The ETI noted that the students of St Killian’s have a belief in their ability to succeed, are confident, work well with each other and have excellent independent learning skills. This is a fantastic recognition of the work of the college in only its third year and is a great credit to the students, their parents and our staff. Continue reading
