Mrs Sandra Cahoon wins Technician of the Year

St Killian’s College science technician Mrs Sandra Cahoon attended the annual Salters’ Institute awards ceremony in London on Friday 29 November 2013 to collect her Salters’ CLEAPSS National Award for Science Technicians.

The aim of this award is to acknowledge publicly the immense contribution science technicians make to the well-being and success of schools and Colleges and, in particular, to Science Departments. This prestigious annual event held at Salters’ Hall celebrates high levels of excellence within the science education sector. 

Over 185 guests attended the Prizegiving Ceremony and lunch reception. The key note address at the event was delivered by Sir William Castell, Chairman of the Wellcome Trust, who presented Mrs Cahoon with her Award at the Ceremony.
